Withdrawal Policy
The Holistic Journal of Multidisciplinary Research Innovation (HJMRI) follows a clear and fair withdrawal policy to ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the peer review and publication processes. This policy governs the procedure for authors who wish to withdraw their manuscript at any stage of the publication process.
Key Components of the Withdrawal Policy:
-
Withdrawal Before Peer Review
Authors may withdraw their manuscript from consideration at any time before the peer review process begins. If the manuscript has not yet been sent for review, the withdrawal request will be promptly processed, and no further action will be taken regarding the submission. -
Withdrawal After Peer Review Commencement
Once a manuscript has been sent for peer review, the author may still request a withdrawal. However, the author must provide a valid reason for the withdrawal. The editorial board will evaluate the request and process it as soon as possible. In this case, a formal withdrawal will be communicated, and the manuscript will be removed from the review process. -
Withdrawal After Acceptance
If an author wishes to withdraw their manuscript after it has been accepted for publication, they must notify the editorial team immediately. Withdrawal requests made at this stage will be considered, but the authors may be asked to provide justification for their decision. If the manuscript has already been published online or in print, the withdrawal may not be possible. However, the journal may issue a "Withdrawal Notice" or "Erratum" in cases where it is deemed necessary. -
Consequences of Withdrawal
-
If the manuscript is withdrawn after peer review or acceptance, it may not be submitted again to HJMRI or to any other journal without clear communication to the editorial board regarding the reasons for the initial withdrawal.
-
Authors may be asked to clarify if their decision to withdraw is due to technical, ethical, or procedural concerns, such as conflicts of interest, plagiarism, or significant issues with the manuscript’s findings.
-
-
Fees and Refunds
If an author has already paid publication fees and requests withdrawal, the journal will review the case to determine whether any refund is applicable. The journal reserves the right to retain fees if the manuscript has progressed beyond the submission stage, such as during peer review or after acceptance. -
Ethical Considerations for Withdrawal
Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscript are expected to respect the ethical standards and integrity of the journal's process. Withdrawal should not be used to evade issues with the manuscript, such as concerns over plagiarism or unethical research practices. If a manuscript is withdrawn for ethical reasons, the journal reserves the right to inform relevant authorities if necessary. -
Communication of Withdrawal
All withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing via email to the editorial office. The editorial team will acknowledge the withdrawal request, review the manuscript’s status, and provide confirmation of the withdrawal decision. The manuscript will be formally removed from the journal's records. -
Re-submission After Withdrawal
Once a manuscript is formally withdrawn, authors may choose to submit it elsewhere, but they must ensure that it has not been previously published or under consideration at another journal during the same period. Authors should also be aware of the policies and submission guidelines of any new journal to which they submit.
